Move Transformer Tool
If you need to move a transformer, right-click on the map to access the click wheel, on which you see the Move tool.
When you move a transformer:
-
Along a line it is already connected to, the conductor components have their length changed to match the new transformer location, but nothing else changes.
-
Onto an existing connectivity node (end of line), the transformer leaves behind a connectivity node, but replaces the node at the end of the line.
-
That is on the end of the line and moves to a connectivity node, the transformer moves from the end of the line to the connectivity node and replaces the node.
-
That is on the end of the line and moves onto a different conductor, the connectivity node is left behind. At the new location the conductor is split into two new conductors, both connected to the moved transformer.
When you move a transformer (and attached secondary cables are involved):
-
With attached secondary conductors onto a three phase line, users are prompted to choose a phase, and the secondary conductors inherit this phase.
-
Off of any conductors, the secondary conductors are now de-energized, and after a brief delay, the symbology is updated to show this.
When you move a de-energized conductor back onto a line, the transformer and its attached secondary conductors are again energized, and the symbology is updated to show this.
