Transformer
A transformer is used to decrease (or increase) voltages in an electric installation.
Sketching
-
Transformers snap to conductors and inherit the conductor’s phasing. If sketching a single-phase transformer onto a multiple-phase conductor, you are prompted to choose the appropriate phase once sketched.
-
A transformer will split an existing conductor into two sections.
-
Typically, secondary conductors and service meters are then sketched snapped to the transformer. The application keeps track of downstream load and alerts if the device if underloaded or overloaded
Real-Time Validation
As services are added, the Load Factor automatically adjusts from Underloaded, to OK, to Overloaded. If Load Factor exceeds your configured threshold (set at 120% by default), you are shown Validation Error information. The errors are automatically resolved once you remove some service points or upgrade the transformer to a larger one.
