Facility ID

The Facility ID displays at the top of the Component Information pane.

Typically, the application communicates with a service to automatically generate the Facility IDs.

You can also change the Facility IDs. For features you placed in your design, double-click the Facility ID (the text adjacent to the pencil icon) to type a new Facility ID.

IMPORTANT: If you change the Facility ID and then later you click the Update Facility IDs tool, it might or might not override the ID you typed. It depends how your company has configured the application. Some companies allow only one change to the Facility ID, and other companies allow multiple changes. In the former configuration, your ID would remain. In the latter configuration, it would be overridden.
