Fields to Support Calculations

In a design, the application calculates transformer sizing in real time. In other words, as the designer adds service drops to a transformer, the application keeps track of transformer load and alerts the designer if the transformer is overloaded. The designer can view the transformer load at any time in the Component Information pane.

During your specification gathering meeting, team members from your company and your implementation team meet to discuss mapping your equipment specs to the Designer XI application. So, be prepared to provide the location of the following:

• Transformer: Rated kVA

• Service point: Load profile (a category to summarize the average power drawn by the service point)
