Fields to Support Remove CU Suggestion

When a designer removes an existing feature, the application finds the appropriate remove CU for that component by querying its WMS code. There is no extra field mapping to support this functionality.

If Designer XI finds a matching WMS code, it will be used; otherwise, if the WMS code is null, the application chooses the first CU available that is related to the same spec the component was assigned on import. If the spec also has no CU assigned, then nothing is selected, and the user must manually intervene. Additionally, the WMS code must match the CU exactly for the type.

The fields below allow the application to recommend remove CUs when the WMS code is null.

IMPORTANT: This information is helpful, but optional. If the attributes are not present or if they do not lead to a suggested remove CU, the designer can always choose the remove CU manually. Further, the designer can override the recommended remove CU if appropriate.

During your specification gathering meeting, team members from your company and your implementation team meet to discuss mapping your equipment specs to the Designer XI application. So, be prepared to provide the location of the following:

    • Connection configuration

    • Phase count

    • Total KVAR (reactive power)

  • Conductor:

    • Phase count (wires are single phase, cables can be 1, 2, or 3)

    • Rated current

  • Guy:

    • Wire material

    • Wire size

  • Pole:

    • Class

    • Height

    • Material

  • Pole Assembly:

    • Dead end type

    • Framing Type

  • Riser:

    • Height

    • Material

  • Sectionalizer:

    • Phase count

    • Rated current

  • Surface Structure:

    • Height

    • Length

    • Width

  • Switch:

    • Phase count

    • Rated current

  • Transformer:

    • High side connection

    • Low side connection

    • Phase count

    • Rated kVA

    • Rated voltage

    • Type
