Partial Push Workflow
Designer XI supports an out-of-the-box (OOTB) workflow by which a design can be pushed in parts to the GIS. A designer can choose which features they want to push and then push those features using the OOTB Partial Push workflow to a new session and version. The designer can also see the statuses of their Partial Pushes in the design itself.
Partial Push introduces a new workflow into the system of design—make sure your business processes are in line with the workflow you are implementing. While the tools for a designer to perform a Partial Push are straightforward, the business workflow could be more complicated.
This workflow creates a new session and version for each Partial Push that is requested. It works out of the box against geometric networks (GN) in ArcMap and utility networks (UN) in ArcGIS Pro. It does not perform any validation to check that previous Partial Pushes have been successfully completed. If your business workflow needs to implement more advanced logic, then you can override and modify the OOTB workflow.
