Fields to Support Snapping

The application uses snapping rules to guide users in connecting compatible components. The user feels snapping behavior in real time and also receives feedback if components may not be snapped together.

The snapping behavior (who snaps to whom) cannot be modified, but it is informed by your company’s GIS and equipment attributes.

During your specification gathering meeting, team members from your company and your implementation team meet to discuss mapping your equipment specs to the Designer XI application. So, be prepared to provide the location of the following:

• Breaker: Phase count, type

• Capacitor: Phase count

• Conductor: Phase count, type

• Electric Network Component: Phase count, type

• Fuse: Phase count

• Sectionalizer: Phase count

• Service Point: Phase count

• Switch: Phase count

• Transformer: Phase count, type
