Important Awareness Method

Prerequisites: Make sure you have the SpaceLogic C-Bus Commission software open. Connect the C-Bus unit to your PC using the appropriate USB cable.

An important firmware update awareness is introduced to notify you when important firmware (FW) updates are available for specific C-Bus devices. This feature ensures that you are promptly informed of any important firmware packages or versions applicable to devices such as:

By providing clear alerts within relevant sections of the system interface, you can easily identify devices that require immediate firmware updates and take the necessary action to maintain system reliability and optimal performance.

NOTE: When a network scan identifies one or more devices with important firmware updates, an important update icon is displayed adjacent to the Network Devices header.

To upgrade the firmware :

Click .
Click Firmware.

NOTE: When no devices are connected, the Firmware upgrade page is displayed with Refresh icon enabled and Upgrade disabled.
Connect a Unit device and click Refresh. Once devices are detected, Upgrade is enabled.

NOTE: Mouseover on to view the important firmware update tooltip.
Click the Firmware to Upload drop-down menu to change the firmware version of any connected device.
Click Upgrade. The firmware is updated and new firmware is written to the device.

Once the upgrade is completed, success message is displayed.
