DALI 2 Gateway Conversion
If there are old Gateways existing in the project, the SpaceLogic C-Bus Commission allows you to convert old Gateways to new DALI 2 Gateways.

To convert:

Open the same project in commission software same as in Toolkit where the device (old Gateway) is added in network.

Select C-Bus Devices of the network.
The available devices in the project are displayed.

Select the device (old Gateway) that needs to be converted.

Right click on the .
Convert Unit pop-up is displayed.

Click OK.
-
The old Gateway is converted to new SYS_DAL2 — C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway.

The address of the Gateway remains the same.

The unit type catalogue description and firmware details are updated.
-
The firmware will have the latest version.
-
The serial details needs to be updated manually in property window of the device.

The configuration changes made in old Gateway reflects in the new Gateway as well.

The serial details needs to be updated manually in the property editor.

Once the conversion is completed:

Scan the C-Bus network.
-
Identify new relay on the Network.
-
Readdress the device to match live network or readdress device to match the project database.

Deploy the device.
