Shutdown
The Shutdown feature ensures that all data operations are safely completed before the device enters a temporary sleep mode. This process helps maintain system stability and prevents data loss or corruption.
Initiating Shutdown
To safely shut down the controller:
-
Open the Configurator.
-
Navigate to System > System.
-
Select Shutdown and confirm by clicking OK.
Behavior During Shutdown
Once shutdown is confirmed:
-
The controller enters a temporary 2-minute sleep mode.
-
During this time:
-
LED 1 (green) turns off.
-
LED 2 (green) remains on briefly, then turns off.
-
The controller becomes unresponsive to network communication.
-
If the power supply is not disconnected during this period, the controller will automatically reboot after the sleep mode ends.
Restarting the Controller Manually
Before manually restarting controller, you must first safely shut down the device.
-
Open the Configurator.
-
Navigate to System > System.
-
Select Shutdown and confirm by clicking OK.
Once the shutdown process begins:
-
Wait until LED 2 turns off, indicating that the controller has completed its sleep mode and is safe to power down.
-
Then, disconnect and reconnect the power supply to restart the controller.
The controller does not have a dedicated power button, so power cycling must be done manually. The controller cannot be switched on remotely.
