  • Force download

Configurable Secure File Copy (SCP) Port Number

When upgrading the firmware on an PowerLogic ADVC Controller via TCP/IP, WSOS sends the firmware package to the controller via the Secure Copy Protocol, which uses the standard port number 22.

The PowerLogic ADVC Controller is often installed with a Radio or other communication front end device, which could also use the standard TCP port 22 to help prevent an over-the-air firmware upgrade of the PowerLogic ADVC Controller.

With version 5.16.25, this port has been made configurable. If the Radio or front end communication device supports port forwarding, then over-the-air upgrade can be achieved by configuring the SCP port number to use in WSOS and setting up a forwarding rule in the front-end device to forward all communications to the port number 22 PowerLogic ADVC Controller.

NOTE: After installing WSOS5 5.16.25, all switchgear files will be updated to add attributes related to the changes made to ADR and the configurable SCP port. These may show up as unsaved changes when closing WSOS. The user will need to click Yes button when presented with the WSOS Save Settings window. This will not modify any configuration related to the controller.
