Trip Settings

Each trip has individual trip settings for Phase Over current, EF, SEF, and NPS.

Trips 1, 2, and 3 can also have Auto Reclose Time settings depending on the global Trips to Lockout setting.

Trip Settings can be configured in WSOS by selecting Protection in the Display menu and selecting the trip to be configured from the tree structure in the left pane.

Protection trip settings can also be configured on the operator interface.

Independent Trips to Lockout

With A50-11.xx, it is now possible to independently configure the Trips to Lockout for Phase and Earth/Ground Faults, within each protection group.

The option to configure this is available in WSOS5 5.16.19, via the Global Settings page for each Protection Group, as shown in below figure.

When upgrading the PowerLogic ADVC to firmware version A50-11.xx, the previously configured Trips to Lockout value is used as the configuration value for these independent configurations.

This capability has been extended to the Sectionalizer configuration as well, where in the Trip After Supply Interrupts can be configured independently for Phase and Earth/Ground, for each Detection Group, as shown in below figure.

Three Phase Fault Lockout

A50-11.xx supports a new Three Phase fault Lockout configuration, for each protection group. When enabled, the Phase Trips to Lockout configuration is overridden for a Three Phase fault, and the controller will go to Lockout at the first Trip.

This setting is available in the in the Global Settings page, for each Protection Group, in WSOS5 5.16.19, as shown in the below figure.
